TRANSPORT INSURANCE LOCAL (within the Netherlands)
For privately paying customers, when moving within The Netherlands with a ‘Certified Mover’ (Erkende Verhuizer), you can count on some important guarantees. A so called Guarantee Certificate is automatically applicable to your move.
This certificate offers the following three guarantees:
Comprehensive relocation insurance
Your move is insured to a maximum household value of € 100,000. Your contents are insured on the basis of replacement value.
A guaranteed move
In case the certified mover goes bankrupt or goes into receivership, then your move will be carried out by another certified mover. Once you report to the Dutch Certified Movers Organisation, they will look for another certified mover who will then execute your move without any additional costs for you. They ensure that your move schedule remains intact as much as possible.
Consequential damage is hereby excluded (additional rental costs, hotel costs, etc.).
Deposit guarantee
In case the certified mover goes bankrupt or goes into receivership, and you’ve made a deposit already, and you’ve made arrangements to move with another certified mover, then the deposit is guaranteed up to a maximum of 25% of the total move price or € 1000.00.
Only certified movers you offer these guarantees. You must meet certain conditions to use these guarantees.
CO2 neutral move
The CO2 emissions generated during your move are compensated automatically. So your move within The Netherlands is executed CO2 neutral. This compensation is linked to the Guarantee Certificate.
